Employing a retransfer printing process, images are initially printed onto a thin film and then heat-transferred onto the card surface. Enhanced Security For the issuance of high-security cards, the Prima 8 supports the use of a specialized dye sublimation Ultra Violet (UV) ribbon. This ribbon enables the printing of invisible photographs, logos, text, or symbols. The UV ink remains undetectable to the naked eye but becomes visible under UV light, offering a cost-effective yet highly secure feature to mitigate counterfeiting risks. Electronic Security Equipped with various card encoding options, the Magicard Prima 8 can securely write electronic data onto cards during issuance.
