Paste wax has 1000s of applications in a woodshop. I use it to “grease” all jigs/tools with metal rails. For example, I use a log-holding jig to cut round log slices on a bandsaw. Adding a small amount of wax where metal touches metal improves the sliding of the jig significantly. It also helps a jig to slide in a miter slot. I use paste wax over some wood finishes to add that shine. Minwax is my go-to brand. This can lasts months. It’s a great value and great product. I will continue buying this paste wax.
