Updated review: I upgraded to 5 stars because this is a company who truly cares about its product and its customers.I did receive a response to my questions regarding the results, as well as a direct response to my concerns.It’s not often you find a company who has not only a person to connect with, but a person who makes sure the customers concerns are addressed.My dog has been suffering from severe itchiness for years. I was excited when I found this test hoping that it might give us the missing answers as to what’s causing his issues.I bought the comprehensive test which was quite expensive, but I was hopeful for comprehensive results and excited by all the positive reviews.The product shipped quickly. Directions were clear and easy to follow.They included only one glove to collect the sample, so I used another glove from home. I mailed the test and sample back the next day.It took about two weeks before I saw results. I eagerly logged on and was disappointed.Each ‘test’ in the comprehensive kit tests for two markers, so I had 6 results to browse.My dog tested highest with a gluten allergy, and this is where the company lost me. We had an allergy test done over a year ago, which showed many food allergies – including to oats and wheat. We hired an animal nutritionist and pulled any form of gluten from his diet. My dog is raw fed with grass fed beef from BJ’s, and his food is supplemented with raw veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, avocado). He eats nothing containing gluten and hasn’t for over a year.I emailed the company, and I was told the lead scientist would get back to me. I have not heard back, but I found this test a total waste of $300.If you’re dealing with a sick pup, I would recommend a saliva based allergy test first. That’s been the most helpful for us. We removed all foods he tested sensitive too, and it did drastically improve his condition. Unfortunately, removing those foods did not stop his itchiness, and the test from Innovative Labs gave us no further information to help us with that [...]
